About me
The Engineer
As an engineer I always try to see the big picture. I don't believe in just doing tasks "because my supervisor told me to do so". Building a test fixture is not about just fabricating a frame; it is (for instance) forging a means to facilitate the selection process of a safety-critical component. With this high-level problem solving approach, I ask the right questions and tackle problems in an effective manner.
My main technical skillset is rapid ideation, design, and prototyping of mechanical parts and assemblies. Go to my projects to see how I used these skills, or download my resume to learn about the experiences in which I practiced them.

The Human
As an avid cyclist I commute by bike year round, I race, and I even created a mass-produced cycling tool. Cycling brings me freedom, and it is one of my favorite ways of exploring the world.
I am a reasonably accomplished athlete - I placed top overall in my varsity mountain biking division, I played on a semi-pro Swiss football (soccer) team, and I climb the CN Tower very quickly.
I also enjoy hiking, optimizing my sleep, and cooking. Hummus, spaghetti carbonara, and chicken biryani are some of my specialties... I'm a great invite to potlucks.
